ip' located in Tamil Nadu. The purpose of Auroville is to realize human unity. Where all men and women are allowed to live together above all castes, creed and nationalities. Yeah I know!! Sounds real philosophical and thats where my curiosity began. The most racially dicriminated and economically divided country in the world has this blooming in the heart of Tamil Nadu? It almost sounded like a rose just grew out of a bed of weeds.
The Mitramandir in the epicenter of the town is simply stunning. Complete sile
nce is observed and it is also called the Peace area ( duh!!). If you want to feel spirituality, serve humanity or just find solace, this is the place to be. It is an adventure in its own weird sense. But if you are the kinds who loves rock, noise and headbanging. I'd suggest you stay away. You would do all of us peace lovers a huge favor.
